MaxWell has JUST (March 2011) introduced a warranty for *most* of the worrisome components of homes. Plumbing. Furnace. Hot water tanks. Electrical. Appliances. Check, check, check and check. This warranty costs only $300 a year and can be purchased by either the seller, as a bonus to the buyer, making the property more attractive, or by the purchaser who will benefit from the warranty. The warranty programs does NOT take the place of a qualified home inspection, but can be used as a supplement to the inspection.
